Seriously Sophia? You are going to make this a race thing? While I don’t agree with Donald Trump or his antics, I think that it is ridiculous to try and make this a race issue. Are you really trying to tell me that other presidents/politicians have not been vilified or wrongly portrayed by whites and blacks alike? And come on, are you really blind to Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson taking racial pot-shots at every chance they get? Also, if you haven’t noticed, the mainstream media in this country is very slanted to the liberal side, which helps someone like Obama. There is really one media outlet that offsets that at all, which is Fox. Anyway, not to belabor my point, but I just get increasingly frustrated when writers such as Sophia so quickly bring this to a race issue, especially since the race card seems to be so un-necessary and uneven. Only black people can pull the race card without retribution, and it seems to get pulled so often and unnecessarily that it seems to create more division than unity between us all.

2010 is definitely the year of the plus size. Nashville model Kimmi-K Smith,aka Barbie Plus has been at work in front of the cameras of several photographers over the past few months. I had the pleasure of working with her in the latter part of 2009. I’ve been contacted by no fewer than six plus size models who want me to photograph them in the past week. I think 2010 is going to be a great one.
